Ozzy Osbourne defended his wife Sharon after she left The Talk on allegations of racism.
68-year-old Sharon left the talk show during the day after eleven years, just a few weeks after a heated exchange with co-host Sheryl Underwood, in which she expressed her support for Piers Morgan, who succeeded him in his own position on Good Morning Britain “made controversial comments on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after her seated interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The 72-year-old rocker spoke about the situation in the aftermath of his SiriusXM show “Ozzy Speaks” on May 17th. He stated that he would be open to calling his wife if he believed she was indeed guilty of racism, but it was clear that she was the “most non-racist” person he knew.
“As you know, Sharon, poor old Sharon, has been going through the mill lately,” he explained to Billy Morrison, co-host. “She’s been a bit of a freak and I can only tell you if my wife was slightly racist I would tell you. She is possibly the most unracial person I have ever met, and I’m not just saying that . “
SHARON OSBOURNE wrestles with the return to “The Talk” in the midst of the extended hiatus: “I don’t know if I am wanted.”
Morrison said he “totally agreed” with Ozzy’s statement and asked the rocker to go ahead and state that the situation had definitely taken its toll on his wife, but said it was taking hold.
“But she survived the storm. She is marching on,” he said.
He added, “I mean, but it’s still uncomfortable. It’s one of those things, once you get accused of people tying you up with that brush, it’s very hard to shake off.”
He concluded his deliberations on the subject by stating that if he believed that his wife was guilty of negativity, he would draw her attention to it publicly. However, he doesn’t think that’s the case.

“If she got caught doing something and I knew it was wrong, I would ‘woah man!’ Go, “he said. “When Sharon first got the news, she was devastated. She said, ‘Why are you saying this about me?'”
Ozzy’s claim that Sharon was devastated by the news is consistent with what a source recently told us about her breakup with The Talk.

“Sharon is bitterly disappointed with how everything has turned out,” a source told Us Weekly in March. “Her entire career has been based on not holding back, expressing her opinion and advocating freedom of speech. To be classified or perceived as bigot or racist is a disgusting scenario and a veritable nightmare for her, especially since she insists on it all a pack of lies and that’s the last thing it is. “

The source also noted that her family supported her through the controversy.
