Dennis Quaid on pandemic eloping and buying Ronald Reagan memorabilia before the biopic role

Dennis Quaid found himself in a special situation when the coronavirus challenged his wedding plans.

Although the pandemic caused the 67-year-old actor to postpone his wedding to Laura Savoie, who is in her late 20s, from April to June, he found the extension at home helpful.

“I think it helped [the relationship]”He explained during an appearance on Daily Blast Live.” Not only that, but our kids actually spent our honeymoon with us. We took a drive to Montana so everyone got to know each other very well. “

The actor added, “In the end it was a bit like Vacation, the movie, but everyone got to know each other really well and in the end everything was good. It brought us closer.”

Additionally, he’s glad that he and Savoie have decided not to push their plans too far back.

“It was a great thing, especially in the middle of the pandemic,” Quaid said of the summer marriage. “Gives you confidence in the future.”

The actor will also appear as former President Ronald Reagan in a biopic called “Reagan,” a role he described as “perhaps the most challenging role … of my career.”

“For one thing, he was my favorite president,” said the Golden Globe nominee. “I mean he’s an icon. I’m really looking forward to it.”

While visiting Daily Blast Live, Quaid contemplated a recent appearance on the hit reality show “Pawn Stars” where he authenticated his own signature on a poster for the upcoming “Reagan” movie.

On “Pawn Stars” the actor was shown some items that once belonged to Reagan, including a flying cap and a tag with a personal note to actress Adele Jergens with whom he was with for a while.
