Idaho Lt Gov Criticizes Racial Theory: “A Religion of Secularism and Guilt”

Idaho’s lieutenant governor and hopeful governor Janice McGeachin criticized the Idaho educational system for “indoctrating” critical racial theory to students during Wednesday’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” claiming the advance “threatened the very fabric of our conservative American values.”

MCGEACHIN: Big BSU (Boise State University} donors come up to me and tell me this is a problem. And as a properly elected officer, I don’t sit around waiting for action. I’m taking action. That’s why I set up this task Force committee and we’re done. You’d think a red state like Idaho would be safe from that, but this is a theory and indoctrination of our young people that threatens the fabric of our conservative American values …

]T]he way of working on the left is to use these nebulous terms so we don’t really understand what they are talking about? Is that American imperialism? Is this a critical theory, a social justice agenda, a critical race theory? Critical Racial Theory is a religion of secularism and guilt that is an attempt to undermine and replace our American values with fear and suspicion. So whatever they’re trying to call it and we’re going to get to the bottom of it, make sure our laws are backed up to protect it, make sure this doesn’t happen in Idaho. Here in Idaho, we’ll do whatever we need to and be proactive to protect our children and all of us as Americans.
