He said he heard the baby slap.
“If you [the mother] lands on the floor, she did not pass out. She was still aware. It grabbed the two children and injured them even more, “Chin told The Post.
According to Chin, the mother allegedly hit the newborn’s head on the concrete, who said he ran out of his house, “jumped over the fence, and fought her to take the newborn away”.
“She had the baby under control and I had to take the baby out of her grasp and hold it until the police and paramedics came,” he continued. “When she tried to hurt her children and I got them out of her grasp, she thanked me and told me to take care of her.
“Then she went on to talk about getting tired of being alone.”
Chin added, “I don’t think she wanted to hurt her children on purpose because I didn’t see any signs of anger. She didn’t have an expression on her face. She didn’t say anything to the children.”
The harrowing incident left Chin’s sister-in-law Shandiekay Harrison, 36, reaching for words.
“I was weak, I had a panic attack because it was my first experience to see something like this. I was afraid for the little one,” she admitted. “I am very traumatized.”
The newborn was taken to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition, police said.
The woman and the 2-year-old were taken to Brookdale Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the NYPD spokeswoman.
The police said the investigation was ongoing. The NYPD said no charges had been brought against the mother by Saturday evening.

It’s the second time in less than two months that a New York City mother has been accused of inconceivable violence against her own children.
In April Danezja Kilpatrick was arrested for allegedly trying to poison her six-week-old boy and girl, then scalding and stabbing them.
The 23-year-old mother is said to have told the investigators: “I can’t take it anymore.”
