A rabbi was reportedly stabbed multiple times outside a synagogue in Boston on Thursday but is said to be recovering.
The incident occurred shortly before 1:20 p.m. on Chestnut Hill Avenue in the Brighton neighborhood, the Boston Police Department told Fox News.
The alleged attacker was arrested and the victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, police said. A photo is circulating on social media supposedly shown the rabbi covered in blood. Fox News has not independently verified the authenticity of the photo.
A police spokesman did not know whether a weapon had been seized. The incident has not been investigated as a hate crime.
Fox News reached out to the synagogue near the knife stab but heard nothing.

WBZ-TV reported that the victim was a man in his 50s. Sources told the news channel that the suspect had a knife and a gun with him.
