“Squad“Member Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Dimensions., Campaign donated over a thousand dollars to a bond fund group committed to deleveraging and getting rid of the police, according to a recent filing with the federal electoral commission.
Pressley, who last month reiterated her support for police defunding, last month made the $ 1,240 “charity” donation to National Bail Out, a bail group that supports defunding and abolishing the police.
“We always celebrate and honor blackness. And while black people continue to mobilize with comrades and co-conspirators to demand defusion of the police and respect for the sanctity of our lives, we still mourn and mourn the loss of black life ”the group tweeted in June 2020.

The group tweeted again in August 2020 that they “must dismantle, devalue and abolish the police in order to protect the lives of blacks”.
Last month, Pressley reiterated its support for police defunding, saying it supports a “radical reinterpretation” of law enforcement despite the rise in crime.
Pressley tweeted her support for defunding the police last summer, saying the “Defund movement is not new,” adding, “People are just finally listening.”
During a TIME 100 Talks discussion last June, she expressed her support for the police debt relief and said, “This is simply a refund.”

“This is just about a refund. This is about real reparation. This is about investing in communities,” said Pressley during the TIME interview. “There’s a reason the Congressional Black Caucus puts out an alternative budget every year. Because we know that our communities have historically been underserved, underinvested and sold. ” [from]. “
“We know what works. We just didn’t fund it,” added Pressley. “And that’s the accounting.”
Pressley is not the only member of the “squad” of progressive Democrats who supported the defunding of the police. MPs Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from New York, Ilhan Omar from Minnesota, Cori Bush from Missouri and Rashida Tlaib from Michigan supported any measures that would redeploy police spending money.

“To defuse the police is to defuse the police,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement dated June 30, about a month after George Floyd’s death. “It doesn’t mean it’s about household tricks or fun math. It doesn’t mean moving school cops from the NYPD budget to the Department of Education budget so that the exact same police stay in schools. “
Pressley’s campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
