CRITICS STRIKE THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER PSAKI REVEALS THAT THEY CONSULT FACEBOOK TO KNOW INCORRECT INFORMATION

BRETT GIROIR: I think this is a disastrous policy. I totally agree with Karl Rove when he says the cure is more speech, not enforced silence, as Judge Brandeis said. First, there is no evidence that misinformation is causing the problem we are having. Number two, who decides what misinformation is? Some time ago it was misinformation to talk about the Wuhan laboratory. And third, and most importantly, if you limit what Americans can say on social media, you will be more suspicious of the federal government and more concerned about vaccines because people will think they don’t get the full story. This will backfire on vaccination rates. It’s a terrible health policy.
