Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers decided to live in their own “little bubble” after the engagement news

Shailene Woodley announced that she and her fianc√© Aaron Rodgers were engaged for “months and months” before revealing the news to the rest of the world.

After the news was released, the couple decided to live in their own “little bubble” and not talk about the relationship for a while.

“When we announced we were engaged, we only wanted to do it because we didn’t want anyone else to do it before us,” Woodley told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Friday. “And we didn’t do it for months after we got engaged.”

“But the response to that was really a lot, so we thought, ‘Let’s just politely decline” [to talk about the relationship] for a while and live in our little bubble. ‘”

Woodley would confirm the engagement to late-night host Jimmy Fallon a few weeks later.

“Yes, we are engaged,” Woodley said to Fallon. “But it’s not new news to us, you know, so it’s kind of funny. Everyone’s freaking out and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.'”
