Shailene Woodley announced that she and her fiancé Aaron Rodgers were engaged for “months and months” before revealing the news to the rest of the world.
After the news was released, the couple decided to live in their own “little bubble” and not talk about the relationship for a while.
“When we announced we were engaged, we only wanted to do it because we didn’t want anyone else to do it before us,” Woodley told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Friday. “And we didn’t do it for months after we got engaged.”
“But the response to that was really a lot, so we thought, ‘Let’s just politely decline” [to talk about the relationship] for a while and live in our little bubble. ‘”

Green Bay Packers quarterback Rodgers first announced he was engaged in February when he accepted his MVP award on the NFL Honors show.

Woodley would confirm the engagement to late-night host Jimmy Fallon a few weeks later.
“Yes, we are engaged,” Woodley said to Fallon. “But it’s not new news to us, you know, so it’s kind of funny. Everyone’s freaking out and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.'”

Rodgers previously dated model Olivia Munn and racing driver Danica Patrick. Woodley was previously linked with rugby player Ben Volavola.
